Strategy Games That Don't Demand Your Whole Life
There's a myth that strategy games have to be exhausting to be good. The best mobile strategy titles prove otherwise by packing real decisions into short, self-contained missions.
Ironvale Legions is a favourite of mine here. Each mission is a puzzle you can finish in ten to fifteen minutes, and the resource pressure keeps every decision meaningful. You never feel like you're just waiting for timers.
The trap to avoid is anything that gates progress behind long waits. Those systems turn strategy into scheduling, which is nobody's idea of fun. I look for games where skill and planning, not patience, move you forward.
If a strategy game respects your evening, it'll usually respect your intelligence too. That correlation has held up across most of the titles we've tested.
